
Rev. Dr. Edmund Za Bik was born in Tikir Village to Pu Chum Nawn (deceased) and Pi Sun Thluai (deceased). He tied the nuptial knot with Pi Tial Thlem in 1967. The couple were blessed with five children: three daughters and two sons. Rev. Dr. Za Bik graduated from Myanmar Institute of Theology, Insein, Rangoon, Burma, with bachelors’ degrees in theology (B. Th.) and divinity (B.D). His further degrees from Princeton University,U.S.A, included Masters of Arts (M.A), Master of Theology (M.Th.), and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph. D. Thesis). He worked for Myanmar Institute of Theology as a professor for 33 years. He came to the United States of America, after retiring, to reunite with his family in 2010. He has been serving as an Honorary Pastor of ICBC since then.
